NewsVPSA to present paper at IPUC
Verder Pumps SA (VPSA) is pleased to announce that Keith Gass, VPSA director, will be presenting a paper at the International Pump User Conference (IPUC), the leading pump conference in South Africa in September 2009. The paper will cover the importance of correct pump specification on total system performance. VPSA are proud to be associated with IPUC 2009, held in association with the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering (SAIMechE), as it is relevant to all industries where pumps are the vital heart of their operation. Gass explains: “Verder’s steadfast commitment to provide only the best pumping technology as a demonstration of our passion for pumps, and in conjunction with the group’s global rebranding campaign, we firmly believe that the heart of your process must run continuously. As pumps form the heart of your process it is necessary that your process deserves the best technology.” The paper will delve into the issues surrounding correct pump selection, improving the design of the process and controlling the interaction between the pump and the process that will often result in energy savings in excess of 50%. This includes how to amortize purchase costs against total owning and operating costs, pin-pointing the use of valuable resources and reducing high maintenance costs. IPUC will be held between 8-11 September 2009 at Nasrec, Johannesburg. This 2-day conference, plus 2 separate Workshops, presents a unique opportunity to all those involved in pumps and pumping systems to keep abreast of the latest in technology, products, services, industry trends and opinions in their sphere of business, and to network with their peers and industry leaders. IPUC 2009 will be run alongside AFRIWATER, South Africa’s leading water industry exhibition and a one-day WISA Conference this year it. For Conference, Workshop and Exhibition details click here.
